We all have experienced loss of attachment, suffered an accident, have been physically, mentally or emotionally abused, as well as we or people around us have suffered from a chronic illness. This can trigger feelings of powerlessness, helplessness or anger.
These feelings settle in the nervous system. “Somatic Experiencing” discharges this permanent tension from your body, bringing you back into a relaxed mode.
